Here are the details:
The "Everyone has their own bloodstream" event is a charity run along the Polish seaside. The purpose of the event is to raise money for professional plasmapheresis equipment for the University Clinical Centre in Gdańsk. It is the only method that saves patients who suffer from thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. The whole event is supported by the Polish Red Cross (PCK). The run is scheduled for 2-8 January 2017.
In practice, it is a run along the seaside from the West to the East of Poland. The estimated distance is 550 km. The run is open, which means that anyone can join the runners in selected places and make the run even more common. Moreover, the event is a sign of appreciation for the University Clinical Centre in Gdańsk for saving one of the members of the "ultra team".
Another reason for supporting it is raising awareness and developing knowledge of rare blood disorders. Sometimes blood is the best cure. A sick person receives it only because someone decided to share their most precious thing. That is why PCK blood-collection units will be parked along the route. If anyone decides to donate blood - they will be able to do it.
As part of the action, the Bryza Hotel will support the Ultrablood Team in covering the distance on Hel Peninsula.
